ERC President Maria Leptin will visit Prague and Brno on 12 and 13 June, where she will meet members of the Czech government, science policy-makers, ERC grantees and the research community. ERC Scientific Council member Alice Valkárová and former Scientific Council member Tomas Jungwirth - both from Czechia - will also take part in the programme, as well as many grantees.
The visit will start in Prague on 12 June, were Prof. Leptin will give a keynote in the morning at a conference organised by Czexpats in Science - Through Academic Culture to Scientific Excellence.
There will also be a press point at noon together with the Deputy Minister for Science, Research and Innovation Pavel Dolecek.
In the afternoon, there will be a bilateral meeting followed by a roundtable discussion with the Czech scientific community and representatives of the Czech government.
On 13 June, the visit continues to Brno where Prof. Leptin will give an opening speech at a scientific conference at CEITEC (Central European Institute of Technology).
