ERC at Viva Technology

For the first time, the ERC will take part in VivaTech, an annual technology conference dedicated to innovation and startups held in Paris, France. Together with the CNRS, the ERC will take part in the CNRS Innovation and Prospective Talks – a programme of round-tables bringing together scientists and representatives from the innovation ecosystem.
 

ERC Scientific Council Member, Sylvie Lorente, will take part as a speaker in the round-table ‘The European Union: bringing publicly-funded basic research to market’ alongside Alain Mermet, Director of the Europe and International Division at the CNRS to discuss how the European Union can sustain a dynamic that fosters innovation growing out of public research. Testimonials will be provided by entrepreneurs who have benefited from European Union funding such as Amanda Silva Brun, an ERC grantee and CNRS Director of Research as well as Co-founder of Everzom.
